After a mammogram discovered her breast cancer in 2019 at stage zero, she underwent treatment for DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in Situ). At the end of treatment, she felt called to encourage others facing a similar diagnosis.
Since 2020, Jennifer has been an encouraging breast cancer advocate. She has an extensive blog on a variety of topics, including breast cancer, and also has published a book.
Her book, "A Breast Cancer Journey: Living It One Step at a Time" is an encouraging resource for breast cancer patients and their loved ones. Readers enjoy her warm and inviting writing style, detailed information, and sections on emotional and mental well-being at the close of each chapter.
